NAPS Calls on U.S. Government to Reconsider Planned Deportation of Nigerian Students

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) expresses deep concern over recent reports regarding the planned deportation of some Nigerians from the United States, particularly those who are students pursuing their academic dreams in various institutions across the country. As the largest student body representing polytechnic students in Nigeria, we appeal to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the U.S. government to reconsider this decision, especially in cases involving Nigerian students who are legally enrolled in academic programs. The United States remains one of the top destinations for Nigerian students, particularly in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), where they contribute immensely to research, innovation, and development.
