NAPS 2025 National Convention: Oyewumi Joy Festus and Comr Usman Ibrahim Dende Emerge as New Leaders

 



Minna, Niger State - February 2, 2025


The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) is pleased to announce the election of Oyewumi Joy Festus as the NAPS National President-Elect and Comr Usman Ibrahim Dende as the NAPS Senate President-Elect.


The elections were held today at the 2025 National Convention in Minna, Niger State, and were conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner.


Oyewumi Joy Festus, the newly elected National President-Elect, has pledged to champion the interests of polytechnic students nationwide, while Comr Usman Ibrahim Dende, the newly elected Senate President-Elect, has vowed to promote the welfare and academic excellence of polytechnic students.


We congratulate Oyewumi Joy Festus and Comr Usman Ibrahim Dende on their well-deserved victories and look forward to their leadership in shaping the future of NAPS.

NAPS VP Comr Ibrahim Dende Praises Gov Ododo for Delivering on Security Promises

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), has commended His Excellency,  the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, for unveiling security drones to combat insecurity in Kogi State. In a statement, the NAPS VP National Affairs Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende hailed Governor Ododo for matching his words with actions, saying the move demonstrates his commitment to ensuring peace and stability in the state. "Governor Ododo has proven to be a true leader, taking bold steps to address the security challenges facing our state," the statement read. "We commend him for being a chief architect of change, determined to bring an end to insecurity and hold perpetrators accountable." NANS Kogi State Mourns the Passing of Usman Hajarah Ufedoje

  The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kogi State Chapter, with a heavy heart and deep sense of sorrow, mourns the painful and untimely passing of Usman Hajarah Ufedoje, a student of the Department of Educational Foundations, Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, Federal University Lokoja. The news of her passing has come as a great shock and has left the entire Nigerian students' community in Kogi State deeply saddened. Her death is not only a painful loss to her immediate family and loved ones but also to her colleagues, friends, classmates, the Faculty of Education, the management and entire students of the Federal University Lokoja, and the Nigerian students' community at large.
