The Chairman of the Joint Campus Council (JCC) of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Kogi State Axis Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye CNS has issued a separate statement congratulating the newly elected national leadership of NANS after the 2026 National Convention in Abuja  Adeoye commended the delegates for conducting what he described as a peaceful and credible election that produced Comr. Akinteye Babatunde, popularly known as BABTEE, as NANS National President, and Comr. Ibeabuchi Moses Onyia, known as Mosline Ibb, as National Senate President. Yaba Flags Off Scholarship Payment for NECO Candidates in Lokoja

  Hon. A.A. Yaba Maisaka has flagged off the payment of National Examination Council (NECO) registration fees for selected students in Lokoja Local Government Area, as part of his commitment to educational development and grassroots empowerment. The scholarship payment commenced with students of Muslim Community Secondary School Lokongoma , Al-Ansar Secondary School, New Layout, and Government Girls Secondary School, Sarkin Noma. The registration fees, which range between N50,000 and N60,000 per student, are being paid for beneficiaries drawn from different wards across Lokoja Local Government Area. According to Maisaka, the beneficiaries were carefully selected from among less privileged students and orphans, while another category of beneficiaries emerged on merit, based on outstanding academic performance and recommendations from their school principals. There are growing speculations that a Honourable Commissioner in the Kogi State Hajj Commission and Chief Imam of Isa Kutepa Central Mosque, Lokoja, Imam Muhammad Yahaya Abubilat, a prominent Islamic cleric, may contest to represent Lokoja I Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
