NAPS Decries Kwara, Katsina Attacks, Calls for Urgent Action.
The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attacks in Kwara State and Katsina State. In a statement issued by its Vice President National Affairs, Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende, NAPS expressed its outrage over the attacks that claimed the lives of over 100 people in Woro and Nuku communities of Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State, and over 20 people in Doma community, Tafoki Ward of Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State. According to the statement, verified reports indicate that the attacks were carried out between 3 and 4 February 2026, leaving many others seriously injured and forcing survivors to flee their communities. "The attackers reportedly stormed the community in a coordinated assault, unleashing violence on residents, destroying homes, and forcing survivors to flee," the statement read.
