HON ADEMOLA SOLOMON BUILDS ON HIS ROOTS WITH STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR 2027 ELECTION

Image
Over the weekend, I returned to the very soil where my hustle began. The trenches that taught me grit, patience, and resilience. As an Okada rider, those streets weren’t just a means of survival; they were my classroom, my proving ground, and my first audience. Reconnecting with the people who stood by me through the grind was deeply personal. These are the voices that matter. The ones who saw me before the titles, before the recognition. We shared stories, laughter, and reflections on how far we’ve come. But more importantly, we had honest conversations about the times we’re in the state of our communities, the pulse of the streets, the ambition ahead 2027 election and the evolving role of politics in shaping our future. This wasn’t just a visit. It was a moment of listening, of learning, and of quiet consultation ahead 2027. Their prayers and encouragement ahead the task reminded me that leadership isn’t claimed it’s earned, and it begins with understanding the people. I left w...

Image
On behalf of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), which represents over 28.1 million Nigerian Polytechnic, Monotechnic and Allied Institutions students nationwide, we write to bring to your urgent attention has sounded the alarm over what it describes as a disturbing trend in Jaiz Bank's recruitment practices, which appears to systematically sideline Higher National Diploma (HND) holders in favor of Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree holders. This development has sparked widespread outrage among Polytechnic students and graduates, who feel their qualifications and skills are being unfairly overlooked. The allegations surrounding Jaiz Bank's recruitment process have been marred by claims of bias, with BSc holders seemingly given preferential treatment over their HND counterparts. This perceived favoritism has fueled concerns about the bank's commitment to meritocracy and exacerbated the longstanding dichotomy between university graduates and those from Po...

NAPS REJECTS 100% SCHOOL FEES HIKE AT KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC, DEMANDS IMMEDIATE REVERSAL

Image
The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) condemns in the strongest terms the recent outrageous increment of school fees by over 100% at Kogi State Polytechnic. This action is unjust, inconsiderate, and a direct attempt to frustrate struggling students and their parents at a time when the nation is battling severe economic hardship. Even His Excellency, the Governor of Kogi State, whom we believe in and hold in high regard, would not inflict such pains on Nigerian students. This policy also stands in contradiction to the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, which is focused on easing the burden of citizens while reforms are being implemented for national growth. As the umbrella body of over 28.1 million Nigerian Polytechnic, Monotechnic, and Colleges of Technology students, we have officially written to the management of Kogi State Polytechnic demanding the immediate reversal of this increment within two (2) working days. We urge...

NANS ZONE "C" NORTH CENTRAL REJECT THE TUITION FEE HIKE IN KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC, LOKOJA, APPEAL TO MANAGEMENT TO REVERT BACK TO STATUS QUO

Image
PRESS STATEMENT   My attention have drawn to a purported letter in circulation released by the Management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, on the recent increment in tuition fee by over 80%. This development is not only worrisome but disturbing.  Judging by the current economy hardship in the country, where almost all facet of the economy is stagnant, the management of the institution should as a matter of urgency at this critical point in time to suspend this increment, pending the improvement of the economy stability in the country.  It is a common knowledge that, Nigerian students could not afford the earlier tuition fee due to the economy down-turn, which as a result of that, some have dropped out of school, while some are finding it cumbersome to cope and prays to rounds up the program in earnest. In light the of the above, we reject in it's entirety the unexpected increment and ask for revert to status quo.  Greatest Nigerian students, while i embark on...
