NANS ZONE "C" NORTH CENTRAL REJECT THE TUITION FEE HIKE IN KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC, LOKOJA, APPEAL TO MANAGEMENT TO REVERT BACK TO STATUS QUO

 PRESS STATEMENT


 



My attention have drawn to a purported letter in circulation released by the Management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, on the recent increment in tuition fee by over 80%. This development is not only worrisome but disturbing. 


Judging by the current economy hardship in the country, where almost all facet of the economy is stagnant, the management of the institution should as a matter of urgency at this critical point in time to suspend this increment, pending the improvement of the economy stability in the country. 


It is a common knowledge that, Nigerian students could not afford the earlier tuition fee due to the economy down-turn, which as a result of that, some have dropped out of school, while some are finding it cumbersome to cope and prays to rounds up the program in earnest. In light the of the above, we reject in it's entirety the unexpected increment and ask for revert to status quo. 


Greatest Nigerian students, while i embark on this struggle, I enjoin you to remain calm and law abiding, as I have already contacted and engaged relevant stakeholders and authorities both in the institution and in government on this regards.

PRESS STATEMENT: UNLAWFUL DETENTION OF KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC GRADUATE, ABDULHAMEED SADIQ: AN URGENT CALL FOR INTERVENTION BY THE KOGI STATE GOVERNOR

  The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) vehemently condemns the protracted and unjust detention of Abdulhameed Sadiq, a recent graduate of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja and a full supporter of this great administration , known as "KogiBorn." For five months, Mr. Sadiq has been held without trial or conviction, ostensibly due to a Facebook post critiquing the conduct of the Kogi State Accountant General toward public service holder's.
