NANS ZONE C (NORTH CENTRAL) DISOWNS FALSE CLAIMS BY NANS ZONE A, DECLARES THEIR PLANNED PROTEST A DAYDREAM

 ‎PRESS RELEASE

‎FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

‎Date: October 18, 2025

‎The attention of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone C Central North Central under the leadership of Comr. Hussaini Jamilu Ebbo, has been drawn to a misleading and politically motivated statement credited to one Ibrahim Bashir, who is the Secretary General of NANS Zone A, (North West) calling for the resignation of the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), H.E Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

‎As the zone constitutionally responsible for all North Central States including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), NANS Zone C hereby states categorically that

‎1. Zone "A" lacks the jurisdiction, authority, and capacity to interfere or make pronouncements on matters within our zone. The purported call for resignation and the planned protest are a daydream that can never see the light of day.

‎2. NANS is a well-structured and organized apex students’ body with clear demarcation of zonal boundaries. Just as no state governor can move from his own state to another to award contracts or employ workers, it is equally impossible for any NANS zone to cross into another’s jurisdiction to carry out activities. Such an act is illegal, irresponsible, and a direct violation of the NANS Charter of Demands and operational guidelines.

‎3. We therefore declare the so-called NANS Zone A Secretary General and all his co-travelers persona non grata within NANS Zone C. Their actions are contrary to the principles of unity, discipline, and respect for structure upon which NANS was founded.

‎4. It is also important to state that, NANS Zone C, under the leadership of Comr. Hussaini Jumail Ebboh, commends the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, H.E Barr. Nyesom Wike, for the unprecedented transformation going on across the FCT. The Minister has continued to demonstrate competence, leadership, and commitment to turning Abuja into a world-class city befitting of its status as Nigeria’s capital.

‎5. We urge the general public and Nigerian students to disregard the baseless and politically motivated claims of a few misguided individuals seeking cheap attention. Their actions do not represent the position or interest of genuine Nigerian students, particularly from Zone C.

‎6. Finally, we advise the so-called NANS Zone A Secretary General to focus on the welfare and interests of students within his own zone, rather than meddling into the affairs of other zones or playing politics with the name of NANS.

‎7. NANS Zone C remains the most peaceful, most coordinated, and committed to the protection of Nigerian students’ rights and the progress of our nation.

‎Signed:

‎Comr. Hussaini Jamilu Ebbo

‎Coordinator, NANS Zone C (North Central)

‎Comr. Igbudu Victor

‎Public Relations Officer(PRO), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)

‎Zone C (North Central)
