APC Youth Wing's Award Shines Spotlight on Bashir Gegu's Humanitarian Efforts
The Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has honored the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Bashir Gegu with the Outstanding Humanitarian Award, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the growth of the party, youth empowerment, and community development. The ceremony took place today at the APC State Secretariat in Lokoja and was attended by party leaders, youth groups, and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, the Kogi APC Youth Leader, Hon. Mohammed U. Mohammed, described the award recipient as a committed party stalwart whose efforts have significantly strengthened the party’s grassroots mobilization and youth inclusion. He noted that Engineer Bashir Gegu has been a dependable ally of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the administration’s drive to deliver good governance to the people of Kogi State.
“Engineer Bashir Gegu is one of the loyal lieutenants of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. His immeasurable contributions to party development and youth advancement made him deserving of this recognition,” Mohammed said, while stressing that the APC-led administration in the state continues to deliver on its promises to the people.
In his goodwill message, the APC Deputy Chairman, who represented the State Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, commended the Youth Wing for recognizing and rewarding excellence, loyalty, and effectiveness qualities he described as hallmarks of Engineer Gegu. He added that the gesture would inspire other party members to remain steadfast in service.
Also speaking, the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, praised the recipient for his strong commitment to youth empowerment and the development of the party. He equally lauded the Youth Wing for its proactive role in supporting dedicated and trustworthy members of the APC.
