The Senate President of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Dist. Sen Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende, has strongly condemned the killing of 16 Northern Hunters by a mob in the town of Uromi, Esan North- East LGA, Edo State. Comr. Dende described the incident as "unacceptable" and "barbaric," stating that "this senseless killing is a stark reminder of the deep-seated ethnic and regional divisions that continue to plague our nation. It's a template of loopholes in bridging the peaceful co-existence between the southern and northern parts of Nigeria." Enugwu-Agidi Residents Express Confidence in PG’s Reforms on Security Levy Amidst Controversy

  Enugwu-Agidi residents have expressed support for the security levy reforms introduced by the President General (PG) of the Enugwu-Agidi Brotherly Union (EBU), Hon. Chukwuebuka Onuorah, amidst controversy surrounding the initiative. The EBU has dismissed allegations of forceful imposition of a ₦6,000 levy on shop owners, calling them misleading and an attempt to misrepresent ongoing reforms. The accusations, reportedly made by Ichie Ifeanyi Ndulue, Chief Press Secretary to HRH Igwe Michael Chidozie Okekeuche, claimed that Hon. Onuorah introduced the levy without due consultation. However, in an official statement, the EBU clarified that the security levy is not a new initiative but a long-standing practice in Enugwu-Agidi aimed at bolstering local security efforts.
