The Kogi State APC Youths Leader Hon Mohammed U Mohammed Bags Award of Excellence at NAKOSS National Spelling Bee Competition.

The Kogi State Youths Leader of the All Progressive Congress APC, Hon Mohammed U Mohammed was ably represented by his aide at the NAKOSS National 2025 Spelling Bee Competition held at FCE Okene Auditorium. The event, organized by NAKOSS National Director on Welfare Comr Adams O. Momohjimoh, saw Hon Mohammed U Mohammed bag the Award of Excellence for being a Patriotic Citizen and Philanthropist towards the students' community.


The event was attended by several dignitaries, including His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo FCA, Executive Governor of Kogi State, ably represented by Hon Oladele John Nihi, Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Youths and Students Affair. Hon Oladele John Nihi praised the organizers for their efforts in promoting education and literacy among students.


Other notable attendees included Hon Dr Sandra Musa FCHRM FIPMA-N FDMSS, SA to Kogi State Governor on SEMA, who emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of Kogi state; the Provost of Federal College of Education Okene, Dr Umar Hassan, ably represented; Amb Asmawu Idris, Country Head of Nigeria Young Women of Africa YWOA; and Dr Muazu Omeiza, Executive Director Kogi State Health's Care Development Agency KPHCDA, ably represented.


The NAPS Senate President Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende, the NANS JCC Chairman Kogi State Comr Gomina Ahmad Kabir CNS, and the NAKOSS National Senate President Comr Omeiza Muhammed Jamiu, The Speaker Kogi Youths Parliament Rt Honorable Solomon Ademola, the NAES National President Comr Lucky Anowuda were also in attendance, demonstrating their support for education and youth development.


The competition showcased the exceptional spelling skills of students from various colleges and high institutions in Kogi state, promoting literacy and academic excellence. The event was a huge success, with participants and attendees alike praising the organizers for their hard work and dedication.

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) Senate President Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende strongly condemns the recent tragic accident along the Felele-Ganaja highway, which claimed the lives of our students. This devastating incident is a stark reminder of the dire need for improved road safety measures in our community.
