The Senate President of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Dist. Sen Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende, has strongly condemned the killing of 16 Northern Hunters by a mob in the town of Uromi, Esan North- East LGA, Edo State.
Comr. Dende described the incident as "unacceptable" and "barbaric," stating that "this senseless killing is a stark reminder of the deep-seated ethnic and regional divisions that continue to plague our nation. It's a template of loopholes in bridging the peaceful co-existence between the southern and northern parts of Nigeria."
He called on the relevant authorities to ensure that justice is served and urged the government and security agencies to take decisive action to prevent such incidents in the future.
Comr. Dende extended his condolences to the families of the victims, praying that "Almighty God grant them eternal rest and comfort their families during this difficult time."
"We must work together to build a Nigeria where every citizen can live in peace and harmony, regardless of their ethnicity, region, or religion," Comr. Dende emphasized.
He assure that the Federal Government will do everything possible in ensuring these culprits are put to justice.
