NANS JCC KOGI DISASSOCIATES STUDENTS COMMUNITY FROM PLANNED NATIONAL PROTEST

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KOGI STATE, 23rd July 2024 - The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC), Kogi State chapter, would like to officially dissociate the students community under our leadership from the planned national protest scheduled to hold later in August. We have carefully observed that previous protests, such as the END SARS movement, have had a regrettable history of destabilizing the peace and security of our great state and the country at large. It is conspicuous that the organizers of this protest are ill intended as they aim to create an avenue for criminal elements to loot and destroy state and National assets as well as properties of innocent and hardworking Nigerians.  As responsible organization representing the interests of Nigerian students in Kogi State, we firmly believe that peaceful dialogue and constructive engagement with the government are the most effective means to address our concerns and push for positive change.  We

  24/07/2024 The Kogi State Youths Leader of the All Progressive Congress APC Hon Mohammed U Mohammed has condemned the planned nationwide protests which set to holds in few days.    In a statement signed by himself, he  throws its weight behind the Tinubu administration, praising its efforts in concurring the national challenges, why urging them to shelved street demonstration which can lead to another #ENDSARS Pandemic.    He acknowledges the inflatable hardships faced by Nigerians. However, it lauds the government’s actions to address these issues, highlighting the All their preventive measures towards the building a renewed Nigeria. He equally told the youths to  shave out  protests, taking aim at those it sees as exploiting Nigerians’ suffering for political gain.       In the countdown to the national protest against the painful economic stimulus, the Secretary General National Association of North Central Indigenous Students NANCIS National Secretariat Comr Usman Ibrahim Dende, applead to Nigeria not to partake on the pandemic response set to be sponsored by such Kajol meaningless leaders.    The North Central Citizens Council (NCCC) has urged Nigerians especially the North Central people not to take part in the ongoing call for National Protests in Nigeria. The leadership of the group made this known in a statement signed by the Coordinator Comrade Mohammed Eneji on Monday advising Nigerians from the Northern part of the country and north central in particular not to answer the call for any protest anywhere in the region. 13/07/2024 The leadership of the North Central Citizens Council (NCCC) has condoled with the good people of Plateau State over the collapse of school building.  The death toll in a school building which collapsed in Jos, Plateau State on Friday has increased from 17 to 22. The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, Sunday Àbdu, had earlier confirmed 17 persons dead after a rescue operation at the Saint Academy located at the Busa Buji community in Jos North LGA of the state But the state Commissioner for Information, Musa Ashoms, who gave an update on the incident in a statement he issued on Friday night, confirmed that the death toll had risen to 22 while 154 persons suffered different degrees of injuries. The Appeal Court, sitting in Abuja, on Thursday 11/07/2024 affirmed the election of Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo of All Progressive Congress (APC) party as the Executive Governor of Kogi State. The Appellate Court, in its unanimous decision, resolved all the three issues against the appellant, Edeoga Chijioke Jonathan, of the Labour Party.   July 7, 2024 The Senate Arm of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) has been made aware of a fraudulent publication allegedly signed by three members of the senate and one other individual currently under suspension due to forgery of the Senate President’s signature, claiming to have passed a vote of no confidence in the Senate President. We categorically declare that this publication is null and void, as these individuals lack the authority to make such decisions. We urge the public to disregard this misleading statement and assure that the Senate Arm of NAKOSS will exercise its constitutional powers to discipline any member involved in this false and mischievous act. Ladies and Gentlemen, we bring you solidarity greetings from National Association of North Central Indigenous Students NANCIS under leadership of Comr. Uthman Muhammad (Fodio). We have received with a very sour taste the recent robbery menace by some uncommon elements in disrupting the lives of students at the Prestigious Federal University Lokoja Felele Campus to extend of lingering the peaceful atmospheric environment into another segment of horrors.     This is indeed so sadden as it has been a habitat upon those uncommon elements making themselves as the devil works shop.     At this junction, we implore the management of Federal University Lokoja as well as the Kogi State Government led by Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo CIA, the Executive Governor of Kogi state to look inward in putting this occurrence to an end.
