Originally part of the Northern Region, Kogi State was formed in 1991 from parts of Benue, Niger, and Kwara states. Today, it's known as the "Confluence State" due to the River Niger and River Benue's intersection near its capital, Lokoja”. On this special day, Comr Salau Enesi Habib encourages Nigerians to unite, promote peace, and work towards a brighter future.  The CNG Kogi State chairman's message emphasizes the importance of national unity and progress.    By Usman Ibrahim Dende.       The Kogi State Youths Leader of the All Progressive Congress APC, Hon Mohammed U Mohammed has come out strongly against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) sentimental and mishandling investigations, calling it a witch-hunt and rejecting it entirely. This statement is in response to the EFCC's investigation into alleged financial mismanagement in Kogi State, which has been a subject of controversy. The Student leaders in Kogi State have assured Governor Ododo of their commitment to a peaceful resolution, following a meeting with the Auditor General of Local Government, Hon Yakubu Adabenege (Fancy), representing the Kogi State Governor His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo FCA at on the 6th of September 2024.
