Hon Mohammed congratulates Kogi Governor-Elect, Ahmed Ododo
The All Progressive Congress Kogi State Youths Leader, Hon
Mohammed U Mohammed has congratulated Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo on his victory
at Saturday’s November 11 2023 governorship election in the state.
Hon Mohammed also
congratulated the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as
the kogi electorates.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had
declared Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, the APC candidate and former Auditor General local
Government as winner of the election,
having pulled a total of 446,237 votes in the keenly contested election against
his the opponent who scores 259, 052 under the Platform of Social Democratic
Party (SDP), Alhaji Muritala Ajaka.
Hon Mohammed, in
his congratulatory message in Lokoja on Monday, described Ahmed Ododo victory
as well deserved, adding that it was a befitting honour for a man who, in this
benevolent administration, had committed his time, energy, talent and resources
to the development of the state.
“Kogi people have
spoken loud and clear. The outcome of the election has shown that kogi people
are magnificent people, who always support and reward leaders who have served
them diligently and faithfully,” Dr Fayemi said.
He said Ahmed Ododo was “irrevocably committed to the Kogi
project”, and would create opportunities for other young people to aspire to
and attain great heights.

The outcome of the election was, he said, the people’s
verdict on his performance in the last 8 years services under the
administration of Gov Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello CON, which put the state “on
the path of steady progress and Development”.
He also praised
other contestants in the election for abiding by the rules of the game and
allowing Ekiti people to make their decision on who should be their next
governor.
While addressing to
the youths that the renewed hope in Kogi State will go a long way that now
which massive turn out of youths inclusiveness in this new government.
He equally
applauded the INEC for their successful conduct of the last dispensary
election, hoping that the commission would continue to improve on the electoral
processes that they have put in place.
