BEING THE TEXT OF COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AFTER NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA STUDENTS NANS JCC KOGI WEST STAKEHOLDERS MEETING HELD AT HILLWAY HOTEL LOKOJA ON 17TH MAY 2025.
PREAMBLE
We, the students of Kogi State, united under the umbrella of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) Kogi State Axis, recognizing the importance of collective action and solidarity in advancing our common interests and welfare.
As an organization representing all students studying in various tertiary institutions within Kogi State, we are committed to promoting academic excellence, protecting students' rights, and fostering unity, progress, and development among our members.
Through this platform, we aim to provide a voice for students, address challenges, and advocate for policies that benefit our members. We strive to empower students to become leaders, innovators, and change-makers in our society.
VOTE OF CONFIDENCE.
The forum passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo FCA, for his efforts in redirecting the students' community towards improved welfarism. Specifically, his administration's initiatives in:
- *Mobility*: Enhancing students' mobility through improved transportation systems.
- *Subvention*: Providing financial support to students union community through subventions.
- *Payment of Bursary*: Ensuring timely payment of bursary to Kogi State Students most especially the dispensing payment of Three Thousand Naira (#300,000) for law students in Kogi state that are going to law school.
- *Tuition Fees*: also, commend him for the free WAEC for all Government authorized institutions in Kogi state.
- *Appointments*: commend him for the appointment of part of the Kogi comrades into his cabinets this has shown a hundred percent inclusiveness of the students community in his administration. In addition, addition, commend him for making the immediate past NANS JCC Chairman as an elected councilor
RESOLUTIONS:
The joint meeting of Kogi West Stakeholders of NANS was conveyed at the instance of Stakeholders Consensual Agreement, for the forthcoming 2025 NANS JCC Harmonization.

RESOLUTIONS.
After extensive deliberations and robust review of the state of NANS JCC Kogi State, Both present/past Leadership Analyse the State of NANS and fine-tune a way-forward.
The following resolutions were reached.
1. At the end of the resolution for the office of the Chairmanship within the three candidates aspiring which are: Comr Muhammed Saeed - Federal University Lokoja, Comr Mohammed Ibrahim - Federal University Lokoja and Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye - Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, at the end of the meeting we resolved comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye to be the sole candidate for Kogi West. Due to the reason that Federal University Lokoja have done the chairmanship leaving behind other institutions in Kogi West to feel the participation of organization.
The leadership of NANS Stakeholders in Kogi West are to Brainstorm on the operational document of the association to permanently address lacuna that often lead to the division and crisis in the association.
1. The Stakeholders expressed gratitude to Comr Usman Mahmud Idris for Providing a Condusive Environment for our Meeting.
2. The meeting Unanimously Agreed COMR OJO SAMUEL ADEOYE from Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja as the Endorsed Candidate for NANS JCC Chairman 2025 Elective Convention.
The Meeting Extensively Resolve and agreed on the Unanimous Aspirants to made the list, which includes:
1. Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye - Chairman - Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.
2. Comr Ayerewaju Caleb - Vice Chairman Inter Campus - Federal University Lokoja
3. Comr Ebunlomo Janet Daramola - Auditor General - Federal University Lokoja

5. Comr Usman Habibat - Director on Gender Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja
