NAPS HAILS HON. DANLADI AGUYE: 3 YEARS OF TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP BRING LIGHT, ROADS & HOPELOKOJA-KOTON-KARFE.
Three years ago, voters in Lokoja-Koton-Karfe Federal Constituency sent Hon. Danladi Suleiman Aguye to the National Assembly. On 13th June 2026, that decision looks different on the ground — where roads now stretch into once-cut-off villages, solar lights hold back the night, boreholes pour clean water, and classrooms stand where there were none.
The Vice President National Affairs, National Association of Polytechnic Students NAPS Comr. Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende, in a statement, reviewed Hon. Aguye’s three years as Member of the House of Representatives and Deputy Committee Chairman, House Committee on Federal Polytechnics. The assessment is simple: the mandate has moved from promise to pavement.
Across the constituency, infrastructure tells the story. Two kilometres of road with drainage now serve Agbaja and Gegu-Beki. The Ahubena Mawogi Bridge connects Sarkin-Noma to Felele, while the Ikumo Bridge project, still under construction, will link more than 30 rural communities to urban markets. Over 100 communities glow under solar streetlights installed from Lokoja 1 and 2 to Kogi Local Government. Transformers in Adankolo, Felele, Tanahu, and Okumi ended years of blackout.
In education, the lawmaker built and furnished a 6-block classroom complex in Gegu-Beki. More than 200 students are on full scholarship, with fees and accommodation paid. Over 1,700 youths have been trained and equipped in poultry, fishery, leatherwork, and business skills, each receiving cash startup. As Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Polytechnics, Hon. Aguye’s focus on technical training mirrors NAPS’ push for skills that drive Nigeria’s economy.
Water and health followed. Motorized solar boreholes now run in Adankolo, Gegu-Beki, Yaragi, and Okumi. Faulty boreholes across Lokoja were rehabilitated. Free medical outreaches brought consultations, drugs, and care to thousands of mothers, the elderly, and the vulnerable.
On the legislative floor, Hon. Aguye moved an urgent motion on fatal accidents along the Lokoja/Felele highway, forcing national attention after crashes claimed lives, including students of Federal University Lokoja.
He has also sponsored seven bills to establish federal institutions in agriculture, tourism, technical training, cassava bio-ethanol, rice milling, geology and mining, and maritime fisheries institutions designed to anchor Kogi’s economy for decades.
Security support, relief for flood and fire victims, and job placements for over 100 constituents in the Army, Police, polytechnics, and teaching hospitals round off the record.
For NAPS, Hon. Aguye’s tenure proves that representation can still be about service. Roads you can drive on, light you can study under, water you can drink, and skills you can trade with, these are the new measures of legislative performance in Lokoja-Koton-Karfe.
The Association commends the lawmaker and prays for continued wisdom and strength as the journey continues.
Congratulations once again, Honourable, on your three years of impact. Many more years of service ahead, Amen.
Signed;
Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende CNPS,
Vice President National Affairs, NAPS
