Hon. Bala Finidi Joins Gov. Ododo, Fmr Gov Bello, and APC Leaders in Kogi State to Welcome President Tinubu, APC National Chairman at Decamping Reception

In a bustling show of solidarity, the leading House of Assembly aspirant for Kogi State, Hon Ibrahim Shuaibu Ozoko popularly known as "Bala Finidi", stood shoulder‑to‑shoulder with Governor Usman Ododo and a host of APC stalwarts on Saturday to welcome the.  President of Federal Republic of Nigeria His Excellency, Sen. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu GCFR and the APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yitwada. 


The President was ably represented by his Vice, Sen Kashim Shettima GCON, which was honored by immediate Past Governor of Kogi State His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello CON, Top Governmental functions, Political Stewarts and National Working Committee of APC Kogi State led by her chairman Hon Abdullahi Bello.

The decamping reception, held at Muhammadu Buhari Square, marked the formal entry of several high‑profile figures into the All Progressives Congress (APC), including former Governor Idris Ichalla Wada, former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Alfa Imam, and former SDP Deputy Governorship Candidate Sam Abenemi.



The event drew more than 100 party stewards who switched allegiance to the APC. Among them were three opposition House of Assembly members:  the member for Ogori‑Mangogo Hon Bode Ogunmola, the member for Bassa State Constituency,  Hon Sunday Daku and the member for Yagba West State Constituency,  Hon Emmanuel Obaro. Their presence underscored the breadth of the party’s expanding base as well as unified the 25 Assembly Members under a single umbrella.


In a brief address, Hon. Finidi congratulated the statemen, describing their decision to join the APC as “a significant step toward strengthening the party and advancing the development agenda of Kogi State.” He added that the gathering demonstrated the APC’s commitment to unity and progress, hinting at a coordinated push for the upcoming elections.


Governor Ododo reaffirmed the party’s dedication to Kogi’s people and thanked President Tinubu for his continued support of state development initiatives. President Tinubu, in a short remark, praised the “spirit of collaboration” evident among attendees and urged the newly aligned members to work together for the betterment of Kogi and Nigeria at large.


The atmosphere was upbeat, with culturald performances and animated discussions signaling a fresh chapter for the APC in Kogi. Observers noted that the event not only highlighted the party’s strategic outreach but also positioned Hon. Bala Finidi as an emerging force within the party coming 2027. 


The unity displayed at Muhammadu Buhari Square is being hailed as a promising sign for the APC’s prospects in the state which drive the continuity of Tinubu- Ododo till 2031.
