NANS JCC Kogi State Chairman Inaugurated, Pledges Fair Leadership

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC) Kogi State Chapter has inaugurated Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye as its new Chairman,
along with his executive council.

The ceremony took place on 31st July 2025 at Kogi State Government House lokoja which was fine tuned by the attendance of prominent dignitaries, including government officials, student leaders, and other stakeholders.

The Oath of Office was administered to the new Chairman and his executives by Comr Muhammed Saeed, Secretary General of NANS Zone C who ably representing the NANS Zone C Coordinator, Comr Husseini Jemilu Ebbo.

In his inaugural address, Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye assured students of fairness, consolidation, and integrity in leading the Nigerian students in Kogi State. He pledged to prioritize student welfare, academic excellence, and unity among students. "We will work tirelessly to ensure that the voices of students are heard and their concerns addressed," he said.

The outgoing NANS JCC Chairman, Comr Gomina Ahmad Kabir, made a heartfelt handover speech, highlighting the achievements of his tenure. The key achievements of his tenure include:

- Acquisition of Organization Vehicle


- Organizing a 3-Day Security Campus Summit


- Partnering with Ododo Health to host a summit on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)


- Embarking on a campus tour across the 12 institutions in Kogi State


- Implementing an education outreach program across the 21 Local Government Areas


- Payment of JAMB registration fees for less privileged students


- Providing financial assistance with school fees to students across various campuses


- Successfully negotiating the total banning of vehicle movement from day to night at Felele Campus, where Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja and Federal University Lokoja are located


- Organizing a leadership training program for student leaders

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Hon Oladele John Nihi, Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Youths and Students Matters, representing His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo FCA, the Executive Governor of Kogi State. Other dignitaries present included, Hon Isah Babangida, Leading Presidential Aspirant National Youths Council of Nigeria NYCN Representatives of the Majority Leader Kogi state House of Assembly Hon Suleiman Abdulrazak Sariki. Bala Maiyaki, Representative of the House of Representatives Aspirant Lokoja/Koto Federal Constituency '27, Hon Abdulrofiu Yakubu; Hon Mohammed U Mohammed, Kogi State APC Youths Leader; and Hon Prince Ameh Nuhu Okpanachi, SDP Youths Leader.

The event was also attended by prominent student leaders, including comr Muhammed Eneji Fmr NAPS National President and Chairman Inauguration Committee,  Comr Morito Okura Personal Assistance to Lokoja LGA Chairman and Secretary of the Committee,  Comr Bashiru Umar NANS Stakeholders Forum Chairman Kogi State,  Comr A.A Enesi NYCN State Chairman Kogi State, represented by Comr Mahmud Avavome, Vice Chairman Kogi Central; Dist Sen Usman Adamu Nagwaza, NANS Senate President, represented by Comr Hakeemat Ibrahim; and Comr Eshiofune Paul Oghayan, NAPS National President, represented by Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende, Vice President National Affairs, Comr Husseini Jemilu Ebbo, NANS ZoneC Coordinator ably represented by his Secretary General Comr Muhammed Saeed.

The inauguration ceremony marked a new chapter in the leadership of NANS JCC Kogi State, and Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye's leadership is expected to bring positive change to students in the state.

With his commitment to fairness, consolidation, and integrity, students in Kogi State look forward to a brighter future under his leadership.
