LOYAF President Calls for Urgent Action to Aid Flood Victims in Lokoja LGA

The President of Lokoja Youths Advancement Forum (LOYAF), Comr. Yusuf Abdullahi Abbas, has sounded the alarm, urging the government and relevant authorities to take immediate action to address the devastating flood situation in Lokoja Local Government Area.

The recent heavy rainfall has resulted in severe flooding in riverine areas, particularly in Sarikinoma and Adankolo, displacing residents and causing significant damage to properties.

Comr. Abbas emphasized the need for swift intervention to provide relief to affected communities, citing the weather forecast's prediction of continued rainfall.

The LOYAF President's call to action underscores the urgency of the situation, as the floodwaters continue to wreak havoc on homes, businesses, and infrastructure.

LOYAF demands that the government and humanitarian organizations provide immediate assistance, including food, shelter, and medical care, to those affected by the floods.

"We cannot afford to wait; the situation demands immediate attention. We urge the government and all stakeholders to act swiftly to mitigate the suffering of our people in Sarikinoma, Adankolo, and other affected areas," Comr. Yusuf Abdullahi Abbas stated.
