Plateau in Peril: NAPS Urges President Tinubu to Relocate Military Headquarters

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) is deeply saddened by the continued bloodshed on the Plateau, resulting in the loss of countless lives and displacement of innocent citizens. We stand in solidarity with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and other sister organizations in condemning these heinous acts.

The Plateau, once known for its serene beauty and peaceful coexistence, has been turned into a theater of war, with lives lost and livelihoods destroyed. We believe that relocating the Military Headquarters to Plateau State will significantly enhance security operations, allowing for a more effective response to the crisis and bringing perpetrators to justice.

We call upon His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to take immediate action and relocate the Military Headquarters to Plateau State. This move will be a crucial step towards restoring peace and stability to the region.

The government must prioritize the protection of lives and property, ensuring that citizens can live without fear of violence. We demand a thorough investigation into the recent attacks, identifying perpetrators and bringing them to justice.

NAPS is committed to advocating for the rights and safety of our members and all Nigerian students. We will continue to push for decisive action from the government to address this crisis and ensure that our communities are safe and secure.

Signed:

Dist. Sen. Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende

NAPS Senate President
