Ondo AG's Actions Spark Outcry; NAPS Speaks Out.

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) is joining forces with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and other sister organizations to express concern over the recent actions of Ondo State Attorney General, Barr Kayode Ajulo.

THE ISSUE AT HAND

The case of former Rufus SUG Polytechnic President  Comr Blessings Akeju has sparked widespread outrage. We believe that his detention is unjust and demand his unconditional release within 72 hours.

OUR KEY DEMANDS

1. *Respect for Human Rights*: The Ondo State government must respect the human rights of all citizens, including students.

2. *End to Oppressive Tactics*: Barr Kayode Ajulo must stop using legal powers to suppress student activists and comrades in Ondo State.

3. *Unconditional Release*: We demand the immediate release of Comr Blessings Akeju and all others being held on trumped-up charges at the Olokuta prison.

A CALL TO ACTION

We urge the Ondo State government to take immediate action to address our concerns. If our demands are not met within 72 hours, we will be forced to take further action, including a massive protest against oppression in Ondo State.

*The Future of Our Education System*

We believe that the education system should be a beacon of hope and progress, not a breeding ground for oppression and injustice. We will not stand idly by while the rights of our members are trampled upon.

BACKGROUND

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) is a non-profit organization that represents the interests of polytechnic students in Nigeria. We are committed to promoting the welfare and rights of our members, and to ensuring that they receive a high-quality education.

OUR POSITION

We are disappointed in the actions of the Ondo State Attorney General and believe that they are at odds with the principles of justice and fairness. We will continue to advocate for the rights of our members and to push for reforms that promote transparency and accountability in government.

*Next Steps*

We will continue to monitor the situation and to take further action as necessary. We urge all students and citizens to join us in demanding justice and fairness for Comr Blessings Akeju and all others who have been unfairly detained.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) strongly condemns the actions of Ondo State Attorney General, Barr Kayode Ajulo, and demands the unconditional release of Comr Blessings Akeju and all others being held on trumped-up charges. We urge the Ondo State government to respect the human rights of all citizens, including students, and to end oppressive tactics. If our demands are not met within 72 hours, we will take further action, including a massive protest against oppression in Ondo State. We believe that the education system should be a beacon of hope and progress, not a breeding ground for oppression and injustice.
