Diversion of palliatives, Gov. Ododo sacks transition chairman

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the immediate removal of Hon. Hassan Atawodi as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area.


In the same vein, the Governor approved the appointment of Musa Muhammed Lawal as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area with immediate effect.



Our correspondent reliably gathered that he allegedly diverted palliatives meant for his local government to another place.


A statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs Folashade Ayoade PhD directed Hassan Atawodi to submit all Government property in his possession to the new Transition Chairman.


The statement also, directed Hassan Atawodi to handover all the affairs of the Council and submit handing-over note to the new Transition Chairman immediately.


His removal was inline with zero tolerance of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s fight against corruption
