GOV ODODO'S AIDE, NIHI ENDORSES KOGI STUDENTS SUPPORT GROUP FOR TINUBU/ODODO AHEAD OF MAIDEN INAUGURATION.




In a significant move that underscores the growing involvement of students in governance and political participation, the Kogi Students Support Group for Tinubu/Ododo has officially received the endorsement of the Kogi State Government through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Student Matters, Hon. Oladele John Nihi.


The endorsement was given when the Director General of the group, Comrade Habib Salawu Enesi, led members of his executive team on a courtesy visit to the Special Adviser in his office in Lokoja. The visit was aimed at formally presenting the group, its vision, and its plans for the forthcoming maiden inauguration.


During the meeting, Comrade Habib Salawu Enesi explained that the Kogi Students Support Group for Tinubu/Ododo was established with a clear objective. According to him, the group is committed to mobilizing and galvanizing Kogi State students across all tertiary institutions within and outside the state in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the consolidation agenda of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.


He noted that students constitute a vital force in nation-building and as such, must be actively engaged in promoting good governance, continuity and progressive leadership.


In his response, Hon. Oladele John Nihi expressed delight over the initiative. He commended the leadership of the group for their foresight and commitment and assured them of his full support and that of the Kogi State Government. He further charged them to remain focused, united and to be worthy ambassadors of the state.


Meanwhile, the group has announced that its maiden inauguration and official unveiling will hold as follows:


Date: Tuesday, 21st October, 2026

Venue: Banquet Hall, Government House, Lokoja, Kogi State

Time: 10:00 AM Prompt


The event is expected to bring together students, youth leaders, political stakeholders and supporters of the Tinubu/Ododo administration from across the 21 local government areas of Kogi State.


The inauguration promises to be a historic gathering of Kogi students who are ready to lead the movement for continuity, progress and renewed hope.


All Kogi State students and members of the general public are cordially invited.
