The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) Vice President National Affairs, Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende, has congratulated Tunji Disu on his appointment as the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) following the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun.

In a statement, Comr Dende praised Disu's leadership and experience, saying his appointment is a testament to his dedication to the Nigeria Police Force. "We are confident that his expertise and vision will drive positive change and enhance security in the country," he said.

Disu, a seasoned police officer, has served in various capacities, including as Commissioner of Police in Rivers State and head of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT). His appointment has been welcomed by many, who cite his commitment to community policing and reform.

The Nigeria Police Force faces significant security challenges, and Disu's leadership is expected to bring stability and focus to the organization. President Bola Tinubu has expressed confidence in Disu's abilities, saying he will provide "steady and focused direction" for the force.

"NAPS pledges its support to IGP Disu and the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring the safety and security of our nation," Comr Dende concluded
