NYCN PRESIDENT HAILS TUNJI DISU'S APPOINTMENT AS ACTING IGP AS A WELCOME DEVELOPMENT




The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has welcomed the appointment of Tunji Disu as Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) following the resignation Kayode Egbetokun. Amb Babangida Onimisi Isah, President of NYCN, praised Disu's leadership and experience, saying his appointment is a welcome development.


In a statement, He expressed confidence that Disu's expertise will drive positive change and enhance security in the country. "We are confident that his expertise will drive positive change and enhance security in the country," he said. 

Amb Babangida noted that Disu's commitment to community policing and reform makes him an ideal candidate for the position.

Disu, a seasoned police officer, has served in various capacities, including as Commissioner of Police in Rivers State.

 His appointment has been welcomed by many who cite his dedication to improving police-community relations and addressing security challenges.


The Nigeria Police Force faces significant security challenges, and Disu's leadership is expected to bring stability and focus to the organization. 

As he takes the helm, NYCN urges Disu to prioritize the welfare of police officers and address the country's pressing security concerns.
