NAPS Honors DG SSS Mr Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi as "Security Watchman," Applauds Peace in North Central
ABUJA — The Chairman of the Convention Planning Committee of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Comrade Agada Noah, has officially announced the conferment of the prestigious "SECURITY WATCHMAN" award upon the Director General of the State Security Service (DG SSS) on the 28th January. 2026
In a statement released during the convention, Agada Noah described the DG as the "Silent Architect of National Stability," noting that his tenure has harmonized intelligence operations with the Renewed Hope Mandate of Mr. President. The committee specifically highlighted the "North Central Miracle", the unprecedented peace and security enjoyed across the zone during the recent festive season as a direct result of the DG’s proactive intelligence-led strategies.
"Peace is a state of mind and a disposition for confidence," Noah remarked, citing Spinoza. "The DG has moved the Service from reactive force to pre-emptive neutralization, ensuring threats are extinguished before they reach the headlines."
While celebrating salient achievements in inter-agency synergy and technological modernization, the Committee also challenged the DG to remain tireless. "The 'Security Watchman' cannot blink," Noah added. "As Nigerians look to the Service to secure lives and properties, we urge the DG to deepen grassroots intelligence and continue shielding our educational institutions from subversion."
The award recognizes both the visible reforms and the victories that maintain Nigeria's sovereignty. NAPS reaffirms its support for the Service in its mission to provide the safety necessary for academic and prosperity.
