COMMUNIQUÉ ISSUED AT THE END OF THE NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LOKOJA LOCAL GOVERNMENT STUDENTS (NALLGS) HELDJANUARY 31ST, 2026, AT COMR BALA YOUTHS HOUSE LOKOJAKOGI STATE.
PREAMBLE
The leadership and delegates of the National Association of Lokoja Local Government Students (NALLGS) National Secretariat, convened in Lokoja on January 31, 2026, to deliberate on critical issues affecting education sector, the welfare of students of Lokoja Local Government Students both home and Diaspora and a peaceful election of executive members. Following extensive deliberations, the following resolutions were reached:
1. STATE OF THE METROPOLIS
The convention carefully reviewed the current socio-economic and political landscape of Lokoja Local Government Council.
we expresses its profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo FCA for tremendous Jobs welldone in the Educational and Security Sector in both Lokoja and Kogi State at large. This "Renewed Hope" directive in kogi is a landmark victory, set to boost innovation, enhance productivity, and restore the dignity of among our Lokoja Students.
Also, commend the Executive Chairman Lokoja LGA Hon Comr Abdullahi Adamu who was one time President of the Association drop a bright signatures to the Organization by donating a Building for the Smooth running and Modus Operandi of the Organization.
They also commend the Senator Representing Kogi West Sen Karimi Steve for the annual Bursary payment which Lokoja is never left out.
2. STATE OF OUR CAMPUSES
The welfare and academic environment of our Lokoja Local Government remains the primary focus of this association:
Campus Security: While the metropolis is safer, we urge institutional heads to collaborate more closely with state security apparatuses to ensure that the "last mile" of security; the internal campus environmentis fortified.
ELECTION:
All Aspirants conducted conducted themselves peacefully with a high spirit of sportsmanship. The convention was held in concensus, which includes Comr Ahmad Faruk Datti, who is emerging the National President, Winner Mayowa Adegoke as Secretary General, and Suleiman Danjuma as Senate President all the Federal University Lokoja.
Others includes: Muhammed Ina Salamatu (Vice President), Muhammed Saidu (Deputy Senate President), Musa Muhammad Mujaheed (PRO), Hashim Abubakar (Senate Clerk), Musa Muhammad Awwal (Treasurer), Eratus Victoria Sokojiwo (Financial Secretary), Al Bashir Hafsat (Director of Social), Muhammad Kabir Usman (Director of Sports), and Umar Muhammed Abbah (Chief Whip).
CONCLUSION & RESOLUTION
The National Association of Lokoja Local Government Students NALLGS stands united in its commitment to the progress of the polytechnic sector. We appreciate the State and Lokoja Local governments, where they have excelled and remain a constructive voice where improvements are needed. We move forward with renewed hope, believing that the technical student is the backbone of Nigeria’s industrial future.
