In a heartfelt message, the Vice President National Affairs of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Comr Usman Ibrahim Dende, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians across the globe, urging them to join in prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria.
As Christians worldwide commemorate the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, Comr Dende emphasized the importance of this occasion, calling on believers to reflect on the values of love, compassion, and peace that Jesus embodied. "This Christmas, let's focus on spreading joy, kindness, and unity in our communities," he said.
In his message, Comr Dende specifically appealed to Christians to pray for Nigeria's peace and stability. "As we celebrate this joyous occasion, let's lift our voices in prayer for our dear nation. May we experience harmony, security, and progress," he stated.
Drawing inspiration from the Bible, he quoted, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God" (Matthew 5:9), and "Let us not be weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9).
Comr Dende emphasized that this Christmas should be a time of reflection, renewal, and collective prayer for Nigeria's well-being. "May the Prince of Peace guide us towards unity and progress," he added.
The NAPS VP's message concluded with warm wishes for a Merry Christmas to all, emphasizing the importance of spreading love and joy during this festive season.
