UNITED AGAINST DRUGS: NANS LEADS MASSIVE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IN KOGI

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) JCC Chairman, Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye who was ably represented by his Aide Comr Solomon, led students in a powerful “Walk Away From Drugs” campaign this day, May 31, 2025 at Paparanda Roundabout, Lokoja.  The initiative, in partnership with  Kogi State Government and Ohunene Initiative, aimed to promote a drug-free society, particularly among students and young people. The walk drew active participation from student leaders, civil society organizations, campus-based groups, and security agencies. NANS members turned out in large numbers, demonstrating their commitment to fighting drug abuse. Comr Adeoye send his gratitude to participants, stating, “This walk reflects our shared resolve to protect the future of our generation. I deeply appreciate every comrade who came out in solidarity. The Chairman, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council Kogi State Axis, Comr Ojo Samuel Adeoye has commended the Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Suleiman Abdulrazak Sariki, for sponsoring medical students. The beneficiaries are 20 students from Kogi State College of Nursing Science Obangede and 20 students from Kogi State College of Health Science and Technology Idah. Comr Adeoye praised Hon Suleiman's gesture, describing it as a commendable initiative that will alleviate the financial burdens on the students and enhance their academic pursuits. The NANS JCC Chairman urged other stakeholders to emulate the Majority Leader gesture, emphasizing the need for more support for students in the state. Hon Suleiman's sponsorship has brought joy to the students and the entire academic community, highlighting his commitment to education and students empowerment.
