TINUBU STRIKES GOLD! NEW NNPC BOARD UNVEILED, BASHIR OJULARI TAKES THE REINS!

NAPS Senate President give kudus over this Decision, urge him to extend such leverages to CTIN and INEC.

The President of the Senate National Association of Polytechnic Students NAPS National Secretariat Dist Sen Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende commend President Tinubu for his bold move to reconstitute the board members of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC). This decisive step underscores the President's unwavering commitment to reforming the oil and gas sector, ensuring transparency, and promoting accountability.

In his statement earlier this morning, he stated that : “The appointment of Bashir Ojulari as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of NNPC Limited is a welcome development. I extend my warmest congratulations to Ojulari, who succeeds Mele Kyari.

In addition, “ As you take the reins, I urge you to make a significant impact in the industry. Your leadership has the potential to drive positive change, promote economic growth, and enhance the welfare of Nigerians”.

Notably, President Tinubu's administration has made significant strides in the energy sector. The successful revitalization of Nigeria's refineries, increased domestic fuel production, and reduction in fuel imports are testament to the President's commitment to reform.

Furthermore, I strongly advise President Tinubu to vividly examine the leadership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Ensuring the effectiveness and accountability of these institutions is crucial for Nigeria's economic and democratic growth.

To achieve these goals, I recommend the following:

Investing in Infrastructure: Upgrading Nigeria's energy infrastructure to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Promoting Local Content: Encouraging the use of local materials and services in the energy sector to boost economic growth.

Developing Renewable Energy: Investing in renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, to reduce Nigeria's reliance on fossil fuels.

Strengthening Regulatory Frameworks: Ensuring that regulatory frameworks are in place to promote transparency, accountability, and competition in the energy sector.

He urge the newly appointed Board Members to  work together to ensure that NNPC Limited becomes a beacon of excellence in the oil and gas sector.
