Eid el Kabir: Hon Momo Gimba Felicitates Muslim Faithfuls, advocates for Moderation in Celebrations

The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Women Affairs Hon Momo Gimba extols all the Muslim faithfuls within the Local Government Area, and Kogi State at large, enjoined them to celebrate with moderation and allow the significance of Eid el Kabir festival reflect in their obedience to Allah all the time.



    During her felicitations, She stressed that the festival is very significant in the life of every Muslim Faithfuls due to the virtues and values enshrined in the celebration.




She added that the people should embrace love and self sacrifice, which are the focal points of the celebration.


She implored them to live a life of piety, sacrifice, peace and self denial during and after the celebration, which the season symbolism.


In the spirit of the celebration, the SA, Women Affairs pledges more dividends of democracy to every nooks and crannies of the Kogi State with her great office while soliciting for the cooperation of the women across-the-board she is representing.

  The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) vehemently condemns the protracted and unjust detention of Abdulhameed Sadiq, a recent graduate of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja and a full supporter of this great administration , known as "KogiBorn." For five months, Mr. Sadiq has been held without trial or conviction, ostensibly due to a Facebook post critiquing the conduct of the Kogi State Accountant General toward public service holder's. This detention represents a flagrant violation of fundamental rights and an alarming overreach of authority.NAPS urgently calls upon the Kogi State Government to: 1.
