Season greetings to all the Youths in Kogi State, particularly our Christian brothers and sisters who are celebrating Easter and commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ today.


This year’s celebration is unique and one of its kind as the two great faith adherents are entwined with the Christian faithful having observed the 40-days season of Lent and the Muslim faithful, currently about last quarter days during this holy month of Ramadan.


As we join Christians in other countries of the world in celebrating Easter this year, I urge you all to reflect on the significance of its lessons of piety, obedience to higher authorities, self sacrifice for the good of others, redemption, salvation, deliverance, renewal and the ultimate triumph of good over evil.

  

These lessons of Easter and other injunctions on brotherly love, peaceful co-existence, tolerance, honesty, humility, justice, equity and fairness to all without discrimination contained in the Gospels are of particular importance to us as one body as we continue to contend with the challenges of nation-building and development.


I also want to use this medium to applaud and pray for our result oriented, dynamic and strenuous Executive Governor of Kogi State his Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo CiA, that as he continues to pilot the affairs of Kogi State to greater heights, God will infuse in him more wisdom and strength for extraordinary result.

May God Almighty bless Kogi State and Nigeria at Large and guide us, always.

GOVERNMENT MUST ACT NOW:NAPS Senate President Condemns Felele-Ganaja Highway Accident

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) Senate President Comr Usman Ibrahimnyass Dende strongly condemns the recent tragic accident along the Felele-Ganaja highway, which claimed the lives of our students. This devastating incident is a stark reminder of the dire need for improved road safety measures in our community. We are deeply saddened by the loss of young lives, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims. However, our condolences are not enough. Therefore, We demand action from our government to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
