Hussaini Jamilu Ebbo, has been drawn to a misleading and politically motivated statement credited to one Ibrahim Bashir, who is the Secretary General of NANS Zone A, (North West) calling for the resignation of the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), H.E Barr. PRESS STATEMENT: UNLAWFUL DETENTION OF KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC GRADUATE, ABDULHAMEED SADIQ: AN URGENT CALL FOR INTERVENTION BY THE KOGI STATE GOVERNOR

  The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) vehemently condemns the protracted and unjust detention of Abdulhameed Sadiq, a recent graduate of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja and a full supporter of this great administration , known as "KogiBorn." For five months, Mr. Sadiq has been held without trial or conviction, ostensibly due to a Facebook post critiquing the conduct of the Kogi State Accountant General toward public service holder's. This detention represents a flagrant violation of fundamental rights and an alarming overreach of authority.NAPS urgently calls upon the Kogi State Government to: 1. Immediately release Abdulhameed Sadiq from unlawful detention. 2. Ensure a fair and transparent trial, should credible evidence necessitate judicial proceedings. 3.
